The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 10 - $142,137 to $150,720 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange or Wagga Wagga

As the Associate Director, Financial Accounting (Reporting and Assets), you will provide University wide leadership of the financial accounting functions, overseeing statutory reporting, financial governance, and asset accounting across the institution and its controlled entities.

You will ensure high quality, compliant financial and climate reporting while driving strong governance and continuous improvement in accounting practices. Additionally, working closely with the Director, Financial Accounting and Treasury, you will also contribute strategic insight to broader financial management to support informed decision making and long‑term sustainability.

About you 

  • Post graduate accounting qualification and CA or CPA membership
  • Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting within a large-scale enterprise
  • Proven leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in accounting systems / software with ability to embrace emerging technologies
  • Public finance and climate reporting knowledge highly regarded
