The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 8 - $113,948 to $128,980 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga

As the Health and Safety Lead, you will be responsible for the operational leadership, management and continuous improvement of health and safety programs and systems across the University. This includes developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs and initiatives that ensure a safe, healthy and compliant environment for staff, students and visitors.

About you  

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex WHS programs and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards (including ISO 45001) and recognised expertise in developing and implementing HSW policies, systems and initiatives.
  • Proven ability to provide high level strategic advice and build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in OHS, risk management or a related field would be highly regarded.
