The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 6 - $92,025 to $99,538 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, or Wagga Wagga

As the ICT Security Officer, you will make a significant contribution to the University's IT security program by providing technical support and operating security controls to ensure technical and information security across the various platforms at the University.

You will also support the implementation of information security and risk management standards, policies and practices in alignment with legislation, audit and business requirements. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, working across a diverse range of technologies and applications.

About you 

  • A degree or a recognised industry cyber security certification, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge of IT security controls and incident response.
  • Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships across teams.
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Can work independently while aligning with broader organisational goals.
