The role

  • Fixed Term (up to March 2026), Full Time (Maternity Leave cover)
  • Level 5 - $79,610 to $86,913 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Port Macquarie (Onsite work required)

The Division of Information Technology (DIT) is committed to a strong service culture and focuses on delivering ‘fit for purpose’ quality services to the University community.

You will join the university-wide service desk; a central contact point for student and staff related IT issues at Charles Sturt. You will be required to provide timely support within defined service levels whilst contributing to the continual improvement and development of services and knowledge that DIT provide. 

In this position, you will be responsible for IT support, maintenance and security of desktop computing, audio visual, video conferencing and network infrastructure environments. You will have a particular focus on supporting the expanded teaching and learning space, including rapid response to technology related issues.

About you 

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Superior communication and customer service skills with strong proficiency in administration and computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capability to learn and adapt under continuous change and work independently and as a member of an efficient team.
  • Sound technical proficiency in the use and maintenance of audio visual and video conferencing equipment and associated hardware.
