The Role

  • Continuing – 32 hours / 4 day work week (2 or 3 days will be considered)
  • Level 2 - $52,209 to $54,905 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Positions available in Wagga Wagga and Albury-Wodonga

As an Early Childhood Educator with Charles Sturt University, you will work as part of a team responsible for the care and education of children in a safe and nurturing environment.  You will work closely with all staff within the Centre to ensure appropriate information is shared with parents, children’s needs are met and incidents are reported appropriately.

To be successful you will have:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Experience working in a Childcare Centre or Preschool environment
  • An awareness of Child Care Services Regulations and National Quality Standard. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a professional team.
  • Ability to identify risks and problem solve in relation to ensuring the health and safety of young children, staff and visitors.

As part of this recruitment, a pre-employment functional screening is required.

The appointment is also conditional upon the successful applicant producing, satisfying and maintaining a “Working with Children Check”, in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW).

Located on our Albury-Wodonga Campus, The Murray Children’s Centre is a university-based Early Childhood Centre, licensed for 71 places per day, dedicated to exemplary professional practice and ethical early childhood research.
