The role

  • Casual
  • Receptionist - 1 day per week (must be Friday) plus leave coverage
  • Dental Assistant - 2 days per week (Wed / Thurs during academic session times) or as required
  • $44.97 per hour (Receptionist), $50.12 per hour (Dental Assistant)
  • Dubbo Dental and Oral Health Clinic

As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments and welcoming them to the clinic. Other duties include providing relevant information, banking, invoicing, collecting of fees and payments and participating in safe-work practices as determined by dental regulatory agencies.

As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing quality clinical and professional assistance and support to oral health clinicians, teaching staff and dentistry students to ensure a high level of patient care is delivered.

This role would suit an individual with sound dental assisting skills and understanding of infection control within the dental environment. You will also be a great team player and have a focus on the provision of quality patient care.

We are ideally looking for a candidate who is able to work in both roles (Dental Receptionist and Dental Assistant) however we encourage applications for either of the roles as well. 

About you 

  • Completion of Certificate III in Dental Assisting or at least 4 years’ demonstrated experience in dental assisting, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • High level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of individuals whilst maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
  • Good numerical skills to accurately and efficiently process banking and financial reconciliations.
  • Previous experience using patient management systems and a high level of typing accuracy.
