The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (Five years)
  • Senior remuneration package starting from $208,921
  • Located in Orange, NSW

You will lead the school with vision and impact - driving a distinctive rural medical curriculum, strengthening partnerships, and advancing initiatives that improve rural health outcomes. This role oversees program design and accreditation, fosters research excellence, manages budgets and compliance, and represents the school in key forums, while inspiring academic and clinical teams to achieve strategic goals.

You will  seek opportunities for the growth and development of the school by developing and fostering linkages and relationships with industry, government, the professions and community. As a senior member of staff, you will be required to contribute to the overall management of the faculty and strategic development of the University.

About you

  • Hold a medical qualification registrable in NSW and preferably a doctoral degree or equivalent academic standing.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop staff, operate within set budget parameters and deliver identified performance outcomes.
  • A proven track record of excellence in teaching and research.
  • Demonstrated success in improving research productivity and quality, including strategies for securing external research funding.
  • Demonstrated experience in academic management and accreditation processes, and strong decision-making skills.
  • Exhibit high-level communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead teams in complex environments.
