Academic Skills Adviser (Numeracy and Learning Skills)

The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 6 - $92,025 to $99,538 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Albury-Wodonga or Wagga Wagga

In this role you will be supporting students with numeracy, mathematics, statistics, and academic learning skills development. You will deliver services and programs in both face-to-face and online modes for individuals and groups of students, enabling them to build and strengthen their numeracy, problem-solving, data analysis, and university level writing skills.

About you  

  • Relevant qualifications and recent teaching or instructional experience in mathematics and/or numeracy.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in education, literacy or a related field, with the ability to support academic writing development.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds using inclusive and strength based approaches.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, work both collaboratively and independently, prioritise work and meet deadlines to produce high quality outcomes.
  • Strong technology skills to support high-quality learning experiences for students.

Appointment is conditional upon satisfying and maintaining a Working with Children Check, in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People Act (NSW).
