The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (until June 2026)
  • Level 9 - $132,740 to $140,258 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga (preferred)

Are you passionate about biosecurity and education? Charles Sturt University is currently seeking a Business Manager to support the Biosecurity Training Centre (BTC) and Registered Training Organisation.

As the Business Manager, you will work directly with the BTC’s Academic Director to provide strategic management and coordination of student support, governance, administrative, and financial functions. You will ensure that BTC’s operations are compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and processes, demonstrating sound practice and process. Your strategic advisory and management responsibilities will extend to the BTC budget, and administrative and student support staff. Additionally, you will provide strategic advice and contribute to relevant BTC working groups and executive leadership committees.

About you

  • A relevant degree in business management, education or related field
  • Proven experience in strategic business management, preferably within an educational or training environment
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage budgets and staff effectively
  • Be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence, with a collaborative and innovative approach to problem solving
