  • Level 4 - $71,097 to $77,179 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)

Join our dynamic team at the CSU Farm as Farm Support Assistant! You will play a crucial hands on role in achieving the farm’s goals through the efficient operation of all farm enterprises. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful rural setting, engage with the community, and contribute to the University’s reputation as a centre of excellence.

As a Farm Support Assistant, you will operate and maintain agricultural machinery, livestock work, general farm repair and maintenance, and capital development projects. You will work with a modern fleet of John Deere tractors, 500 Angus cows and 2,000 commercial ewes on a regular basis.

Applicants are expected to hold a current and valid NSW Class C Driver’s Licence. Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are also required.

As part of this recruitment process, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment functional assessment.

  • Understanding of farm operations, crop management, and livestock care
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining modern agricultural machinery
  • Ability to safely perform manual handling techniques and a variety of physical tasks
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and adapt to changing work conditions
