Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology

The role

• Continuing, Full time (part time fraction may be considered)
• Level B/C $110,525 to $155,639 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
• Wagga Wagga

Become a part of the dynamic team and actively engage in teaching and curriculum development for veterinary anatomy and physiology. You will be teaching a range of subjects including anatomy, physiology and related areas for courses ranging from Animal Sciences, Equine Sciences, Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Sciences. You will have the opportunity to participate in the administration and curriculum development whilst progressing as an active researcher aligned with the objectives of the school and the university.

About you

• A qualification in Veterinary Anatomy and/or Physiology or equivalent accreditation and standing in a related discipline appropriate for the level being applied for.
• For appointment at Level C, a significant knowledge, experience and understanding of the Veterinary Anatomy and/or Physiology discipline, gained through industry experience and/or scholarly activities is required.
• Commitment to delivering high quality, student centred learning and teaching.
• Keen to conduct high impact research
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships to achieve objectives and work both collaboratively and independently in an academic setting.

The Faculty of Science and Health delivers flexible, innovative teaching programs which provide graduates with the skills and knowledge to build a career, advance their profession and contribute to their community. The School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences provides more than twenty undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the Faculty of Science and Health. This includes Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Equine Science, Environmental Science, Geospatial Science and Veterinary Science. The School has substantial infrastructure of a high standard for training veterinary undergraduates and postgraduates, including access to on-campus veterinary enterprises in Wagga. The School has a strong research profile, including significant numbers of undergraduate honours and higher research degree students. Relevant research strengths include equitation science, animal health, welfare and diseases, epidemiology, biosecurity, toxicology, animal models of human conditions, animal production and sustainable agriculture.
