About Us

The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture (ACC&C) is an ecumenical foundation reflecting the faith background of many Australians. The priorities of the ACC&C are ecumenism and interfaith dialogue; reconciliation with indigenous people; leadership and institutional life; the arts, sciences and culture; the relationship of theology to civil society and other current issues in Australian public life.

The Wiradjuri phrase yindyamarra winhanganha means the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in. This phrase represents who we are at Charles Sturt University – our ethos. It comes from traditional Indigenous Australian knowledge, but it also speaks to the mission of universities – to develop and spread wisdom to make the world a better place.
