  • Level 6 - $89,345 to $96,639 pa (plus 17% superannuation)

As Technical Officer (Engineering), you will be providing specialised technical and laboratory support for teaching and research in Engineering.

Your duties will include assisting the Director, Engineering and academic staff to coordinate high quality outcomes in the laboratory, specialist teaching environments and clinics, overseeing staff and student training and induction in laboratory and technical environments, risk management, and facility, equipment and inventory maintenance and coordination.

This role has a specialised focus on technical and laboratory support which requires skills, qualifications and experience in Engineering or a related field.

This is an on-campus position located on our Bathurst campus and therefore remote work options are not available. A generous relocation package may be offered to the successful candidate to assist with relocating to Bathurst to take up this job opportunity.

About you  

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in laboratory techniques and best practise, and in operating and maintaining associated equipment.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in implementing risk management systems, and in the safe use, storage and disposal of hazardous substances and biological materials.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently.
