Are you passionate about shaping the future of sustainable farming? Charles Sturt University is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to lead the Renewables in Agriculture Centre of Excellence—a pioneering initiative driving renewable energy solutions for the agricultural sector. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact through innovation, research, and real-world testing.

In this role, you will lead a diverse portfolio of projects from concept through to demonstration, collaborating with startups, researchers, and industry leaders to drive adoption and commercialisation of new technologies. You’ll identify and secure funding opportunities, manage budgets, and ensure strong governance and compliance. Building relationships with stakeholders and fostering engagement across the University and industry will be key to your success.

About you

You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability and a knack for turning ideas into action. You thrive in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments and bring a mix of technical insight and commercial acumen. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in program or project management within renewable energy, agriculture, or related sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Commercial awareness and experience securing funding or partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to unite diverse teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail and accountability.
