The Role

  • Full Time/Fixed Term (Five years)
  • $206,852 – $258,565 including 17% super contribution

As the Head of School, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences to enhance the school’s academic and research excellence, ensuring effective financial and resource management. 

You will strategically drive growth by enhancing the school’s profile, expanding partnerships, and fostering relationships across, government, the professions, and communities. 

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to positively influence organisational culture, mentor and develop staff, and champion the delivery of high-quality, innovative courses that meet the evolving needs of students and the broader community.

About you:

  • To be successful, candidates will demonstrate:

    • A PhD in Psychology or closely related discipline.
    • Proven leadership experience with a strong record of developing high-performing academic and professional teams.
    • Demonstrated experience effectively managing budgets and achieving defined performance targets.
    • The ability to lead confidently within a diverse and complex disciplinary environment.
    • An established record of teaching excellence, distinguished research contributions, and recognition as a thought leader in an area of Psychology.
    • Evidence of substantial leadership and service contributions to the Psychology profession.
