The role

  • Full Time, Continuing
  • Level 4 - $73,320 to $79,494 p.a. (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst (on-site)

As an Information Technology Support Officer, you’ll be part of the University‑wide Service Desk, the central point of contact for IT support for staff and students. Acting as a first‑line responder, you’ll diagnose, resolve and escalate IT incidents while delivering a consistently high level of customer service.

You’ll provide both remote and on‑site support at our Bathurst campus, including teaching and learning spaces, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of service desk processes and knowledge. This role suits someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment, and being part of a team committed to service excellence.

This is an entry‑level role into Information Technology and would suit a recent school leaver with a strong interest in IT, someone who has completed a VET qualification, or an individual seeking to build on foundational IT knowledge and develop a career in the field.

About you

You’re customer‑focused, adaptable, enjoy helping others make the most of technology, and solving problems.

  • Experience providing customer support in an IT /or other support environment
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical issues in an easy to understand way
  • Good problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Confident using a range of IT systems, including Microsoft 365
  • Able to manage tasks, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Willing to learn, support teammates and contribute to a positive team culture
