The role

  • Full Time – Continuing 
  • Level 6 - $92,025 to $99,538 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and research in microbiology, biotechnology, anatomy, and physiology. You’ll provide technical leadership, coordinate day-to-day operations, and ensure safe, efficient laboratory practices across our Life Sciences and Health team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with academic staff, researchers, and students, providing expert advice, training, and support for laboratory techniques and equipment.

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement of this position.

About you

  • Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline, with 2+ years’ experience (or equivalent knowledge)
  • Strong technical expertise in microbiology and biotechnology techniques
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate team activities.
  • Experience in risk management and safe handling of hazardous substances.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
