Charles Sturt University

Charles Sturt University uses the PageUp recruitment system to manage job applications and candidate information. This means certain personal information applicants provide when applying for a job with CSU will be hosted on PageUp’s systems. See the PageUp FAQs for further information provided to job seekers.

Following a security incident in May 2018 involving PageUp’s systems, CSU temporarily ceased using PageUp to process job applications. This was a precaution whilst cybersecurity experts investigated the incident. See more information in PageUp’s statement.

PageUp’s security consultants have confirmed that they have not identified any further threats within PageUp’s systems and that PageUp is safe to use. Based on the outcome of that investigation and additional security improvements made by PageUp to mitigate the risks of similar future attacks, CSU has reinstated the PageUp recruitment system.

About Us

Charles Sturt University is a young and growing university committed to developing far-sighted people who help their communities grow and flourish. We make a significant contribution to the prosperity and vibrancy of our rural and regional communities, with a reach and impact across Australia and internationally. We work together with industry, communities and students to create new thinking, inspire each other and make a positive and progressive contribution to the world.

The Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences covers a diverse range of disciplines and is comprised of 6 Schools, 1 Centre and CSU Engineering – the School of Management and Marketing, School of Accounting and Finance, School of Computing and Mathematics, School of Policing Studies, Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security, School of Psychology, Centre for Customs and Excise Studies and CSU Engineering.

Our Faculty are leaders in their fields of teaching and research and combine significant professional experience with academic expertise. Our schools continue to grow through close collaboration and consultation with private industry, regulators, professional bodies, community engagement, partnerships and global networks.

In 2016 Charles Sturt University established a new School of Engineering, with a vision of a world-leading approach to educating engineers.  Grounded in a need to provide work-ready graduates to address a regional shortage of qualified engineers, the CSU Engineering program was designed to link industry needs with best practice in engineering education.  A strong commitment from the institution meant that the program was able to be truly innovative in its approach, and to build a curriculum and a philosophy that differs radically from traditional engineering programs.

The core of the CSU Engineering philosophy is that there are no engineering students; instead there are Student Engineers.  By treating them as engineers in the student phase of their careers, we establish a paradigm of professionalism from day one.  Projects have real clients with real accountability; the focus is upon delivering solutions that improve people’s lives, rather than simply passing assignments.

CSU Engineering operates a strong program of engagement with local industry, the community and schools.  Maintaining this cadence requires key skills in event management, as well as the maintenance of a strong social media presence.

CSU offers a great work-life balance, professional development opportunities and generous financial benefits.

Charles Sturt University is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. Applications are encouraged from Indigenous Australians; people with a disability; women (particularly for senior and non-traditional roles); people who identify as LGBTIQ; and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
